 Hattie Frances Simmons, 87, of Memphis, TN passed away on March 19, 2026 at her home in Memphis, Tennessee. Hattie was born on August 12, 1938 to Brown and Clarriece Farris in Oakland, Mississippi. She is survived by her spouse Joe Andy ; three sons, Michael Anthony Simmons (Valarie), Curt Vandallas Simmons and Joe Travino Simmons (Kimberly); eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two sisters, Beatrice Clayborn and Nellie Cooper. She is preceded in death by her parents, Brown Chambers and Clarriece Farris. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 2nd, 2026 from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm at R.S. Lewis and Sons Funeral Homes 2944 Walnut Grove Road Memphis, TN. Funeral services will be on Friday, April 3rd, 2026 at 11:00 AM in the First Baptist Church Chelsea 500 N Forth St Memphis, TN 3805. Burial will take place at Memorial Park Southwoods Cemetery.
